Tinubu Sends 32 Ambassadorial Nominees to Senate for Approval

President Bola Tinubu has submitted a fresh list of 32 ambassadorial nominees to the Senate, marking a major step in reshaping Nigeria’s diplomatic frontlines.

In a statement released on Saturday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the nominees consist of 17 non-career and 15 career diplomats, all selected for postings to countries and international organisations considered vital to Nigeria’s foreign policy interests.

The ambassadors -designate are expected to serve in strategic nations such as China, India, South Korea, Canada, Mexico, the UAE, Qatar, South Africa, and Kenya, as well as key missions including the United Nations, UNESCO, and the African Union.

Their specific assignments will be announced after the Senate completes the confirmation process.
