Traditional Ruler Inaugurates Students’ Association In Delta Community, Urges New Executive To Promote Unity , Peace

The Ugoani of Okpanam Kingdom, HRM (Dr.) Michael Mbanefo Ogbolu, has inaugurated the newly executive of the National Association of Okpanam Students with a call on the leadership New of the Association to be focused proactive in promoting the ideals of the Association and unity and peace in the community.
The newly elected executive are; Comr. Nneka Blessing Okondu(President); Comr. Ifeanyi Augustine Dike(Vice President); Comr. Francis Okonmah(Secretary);Come. Isioma Ujeze(Asst.Secretary); Comr. Chinaza Ongeamali(Treasurer); Comr. Emeka Onochie(Financial Secretary); Comr. Vivian Ogbuzuru(Welfare Officer) and Comr. David Obi(PRO).
Addressing the executive, the Okpanam monarch implored National Association of Okpanam Students to always take positive risk that would bring meaningful development to the community, saying that risk is a key ingredient of success in any society.
He asserted that the relative peace being enjoyed in the community was responsible for the massive socioeconomic growth and development in the community.
While congratulating them for their successful election, Ogbolu promised to give the newly elected executive the needed support both morally and financially and urged them to rally round the President-General of Okpanam Youth Organization, Comrade Lucky Okolo in his unwavering commitment to the progress of the community.
Earlier, the President-General of Okpanam Youth Organization, Comrade Lucky Okolo told the executive to work as a team and unite in achieving their common goal and prayed God to give them the wisdom and knowledge to pilot the affairs of the Association to enviable height.
Okolo, who used the opportunity to enjoin Okpanam students to shun social vices and focus more on things that would add value to their lives and the community in general, declared total support for a young, vibrant Okpanam entrepreneur and politician, Comrade Charles Ashinze Obiodogwu , who is aspiring to contest for the position of House of Assembly for Oshimili North under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in 2027.
In an interview with journalists, the outgoing President, Comr. Augustine Ugochukwu Nwabuaku and the stakeholders chairman of the Association, Comr. Chigozie Sindi advised members of executive to embrace peace and work as one in order to achieve results.
Nwabuaku said that the National Association of Okpanam Students under his watch during his tenure received unprecedented recognition in the community and beyond, stressing that he encouraged many Okpanam indigenes to attend higher institutions as the association was determined to assist with the soliciting of funds for their school fees .
Responding on behalf of the executive, the new President, Comr. Nneka Blessing Okondu described their success in the election and subsequent inauguration as a dawn of an era, noting that she would carry her executive along in the scheme of things to move the Association forward.
Okondu pointed out that the objective of the Association was to foster unity among Okpanam students, provide financial support for indigent students of Okpanam origin by soliciting funds with which to support the payment of their school fees and feeding.
She promised to create a platform to integrate more students into the National Association of Okpanam Students, emphasizing that there were several students that were not aware of the existence of the association.
