NUJ Delta Mourns Elizabeth Azu Ovwile, Mother of Austin Azu

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, has expressed deep condolences to one of its members, Comrade Austin Azu, Correspondent of News Central at Government House, Asaba, over the death of his mother, Late Evangelist Mrs. Elizabeth Azu Ovwile.

In a condolence message signed by the Chairman of the NUJ, Delta State Council, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, and the Acting Secretary, Comrade Josephine Omodior, the Council described the late Evangelist Mrs. Azu Ovwile as a woman of faith, virtue and service, whose life was firmly rooted in Christian values.

The deceased, who hailed from Elume Main Town in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, was a devoted member of God’s Grace Ministry, where she served diligently and made positive impacts on her family, church and community.

The NUJ noted that Mama Azu was not only a loving mother but also a caring grandmother, whose legacy is evident in the responsible and distinguished lives of her children. They include Hon. Samuel Azu, Leader of the Sapele Legislative Arm; Rev. God’s Time Azu of God’s Grace Ministry; as well as Akpuvie Azu, Happy Azu Omofuju, Victor Azu, Vera Aghogi and Justice Azu, among others.

According to the message , her passing at the age of 71 is a painful loss, not only to the Azu family but also to the body of Christ and the Elume community at large.

While commiserating with Comrade Austin Azu and the entire Azu family, the NUJ prayed that God grants them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and that the soul of the departed rests eternally in the bosom of the Lord.
