The management and board of the Silent Heroes Awards Initiative (SHAI) have heartily congratulated Major Generals Raymond Nani Nkem Ochei (rtd) and Lawrence Ayaegbunem Fejokwu (rtd) on their successful and meritorious retirement, describing them as gallant retirees of the Nigerian Army – an exit achieved without blemish and marked by years of selfless service, discipline, and patriotism.

The organization is celebrating the two distinguished Generals for their unwavering commitment to national security, peacekeeping, and nation-building throughout their illustrious military careers.

The SHAI said their leadership footprints within and outside the Nigerian Armed Forces remain commendable examples of integrity, professionalism, and quiet impact.

According to the organization, “Both Major General Ochei and Major General Fejokwu have also distinguished themselves beyond their call of duty by demonstrating a deep sense of love for humanity and a consistent passion for community development, particularly in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, their ancestral home and throughout Anioma Nation and beyond. Through their philanthropy and mentorship, they have touched lives, empowered youths, and contributed meaningfully to local development in diverse ways, epitomizing the values that define true silent heroes”.

Additionally, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Silent Heroes Awards Initiative, Mr Odita Sunday, stated that “The retirement of these two gallant officers is not the end of service, but the beginning of a new phase of impact. We are proud of their exemplary conduct and their modest contributions to humanity, which align with our organization’s vision of recognizing men and women who make remarkable differences without necessarily being loud about it.

“The Silent Heroes Awards Initiative once again congratulates Major Generals Ochei and Fejokwu on these milestone achievements and wishes them good health, fulfillment of future purposes, and continued success in their post-service endeavours”, Odita concluded.

The Silent Heroes Awards Initiative (SHAI) is one platform that has given credibility to awards on individuals, corporate organisations and government functionaries in recent years. It is founded by Mr. Odita Sunday – a veteran journalist of repute and the platform is reputed for – Celebrating Unsung Men and Women and Oiling the Wheels of Nation Building.
