Amori Hails 20.95km Trans-Warri–Ode-Itsekiri Road, Says It Proves Inclusive Governance
The Chief Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ighoyota Amori, has applauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the successful completion of the historic 20.95km Trans-Warri–Ode-Itsekiri Road featuring 15 bridges, describing it as “another bold confirmation that the MORE Agenda is working for all Deltans, from the creeks to the uplands.”
In a statement issued by his Public Relations Officer, Mr. Joelson Wilson, Senator Amori said the project which lingered for nearly two decades, has finally been delivered under a governor who has consistently demonstrated courage, discipline and an unwavering commitment to equity.
According to the Chief Adviser, “What Governor Oborevwori has done in the riverine communities of Warri South-West and Warri North is a powerful reminder that he is truly a Governor for all Deltans. The MORE Agenda is not a slogan; it is a living reality seen in every ethnic group and every senatorial district.”
He noted that the completion of the road, which links several previously isolated communities to Ode-Itsekiri, the ancestral homeland of the Itsekiri people, is a historic fulfilment that will significantly boost trade, transportation, security, and social interaction across the region.
Senator Amori also emphasized that this accomplishment further strengthens the governor’s reputation as a leader who keeps promises and delivers on projects that many had long considered impossible.
“This is what responsible leadership looks like, finishing projects that were thought as impossible and opening new frontiers of development,” Amori stated. “Every honest Deltan, even visitors to our state, can testify that there is truly a new Sheriff in Delta, ensuring that development is not selective but evenly distributed.”
He explained that the Trans-Warri–Ode-Itsekiri Road stands as a symbol of the governor’s unmatched performance, noting that communities across the three senatorial districts have continued to feel the impact of the MORE Agenda; from roads and bridges to schools, hospitals, empowerment programmes and security enhancement.
Amori further observed that Governor Oborevwori’s no-debt approach, prudent financial management and direct engagement with communities made the long-awaited project possible.
“The Governor’s leadership style is people-oriented, development-driven and entirely focused on leaving no community behind. That is why Deltans across ethnic lines; Urhobo, Isoko, Ijaw, Itsekiri, Anioma and others, are united in their support,” he said.
The Chief Adviser added that with such visible achievements, “the question of a second term is no longer debatable. The performance speaks for itself.”
He encouraged residents of the state to continue supporting the administration’s vision, stressing that the completion of the Trans-Warri–Ode-Itsekiri corridor is only one of many milestones that will define Governor Oborevwori’s transformational legacy.
“Delta State is on steady cruise toward unprecedented development, and the MORE Agenda is delivering more happiness, more connectivity, and more opportunities for all,” Amori affirmed.
