Affidavit Of Correction Of Name, Lineage Of Amachai -Achalla
Obi Onyeayana Victor Okafor, the Obi Okpuenyi II of Achalla Amachai Quarter, Okpanam Amachai, in Delta State has sworn to an affidavit seeking the correction of what he described as inaccuracies in the historical lineage and ancestral records of Amachai Achalla Community.
Below are details of the affidavit
“*1. That* I am the deponent herein and I am duly authorized to swear to this affidavit.
*2. That* the true history of Amachai Achalla is this:
Obi Achala is the founder of Amachai and came from Umuahia in 1335. Obi Achala had a son called *Nwanuzu* also known as *Ezenwanuzu*. He got married and settled at Amachai Achala Land with his parents.

As he grew, Obi Achala begot four sons: *Obi Ojemade, Oshamade Okwuni, and Oloma*. All are children of Obi Achala/Amachai.
*Obi Ojemade* begot *Obi Okpuenyi*, who begot *Obi Onwuegbuzia*. Obi Onwuegbuzia is the founder of Ugbolu. He begot *Obi Anikwue*, who begot *Obi Uchiawuzia* and *Obi Okafor*.
Obi Okafor begot *Ogbueshi Okafor Anikwue, Ogbueshi Okonkwo Anikwue, Diokpa Isi* of Achala/Amachai, *Okeleke Ofisa Uchianwuzia* Diokpa of Umuobiachalla, *Ogbueshi Nwaokie* and *Diokpa Okocha Okafor*.
The lineage of *Umuobiachalla* existed many years ago before others. Achala land covers from Okpanam Achalla/Amachai to Achalla Akwukwu Igbo and Ugbolu. All this land was inherited from our ancestors of Umuobiachalla.
*Ozoma-Oyibu* is not a son of Obi Achala Amachai. He served Obi Achala Amachai and was placed by him in the farm settlement at Ugbolu as custodian of the land.
Obi Achala gave the title of *Odogwu* to the family of Ozoma-Oyibu as trusted persons because of Bini invaders. He maintained trust and was asked to maintain the boundaries between Asaba and Illah.
*3. That* I know as a fact that *Obi Onyeayana Victor Okafor* – The Obi Okpuenyi de 2, Achalla Amachai Qtr, Okpanam is a descendant of this lineage.
*4. That* I am making this affidavit in good faith for the purpose of correcting the records and for all other legal purposes.”
