Shun Sycophants, Meet Peoples’ Needs, Utuedoye Admonishes Delta Governor-Elect, Oborevwori

Delta State Governor-Elect, Rt.

Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori,

to ignore all sycophants that

will come around him in order to

mislead and change his good

intention for people of Delta

State.

Utuedoye

gave the remarks on

immediately after a Thanksgiving

Bosco Catholic Church, Asaba.

He said; “ I want to make Deltans

Understand that in most cases, it

Is never the fault of the governor

Neither is the governor that fails,

But those who often surrounds

Him with selfish interests that

Attracts either his success or

Failure. It is not the governor as

The case may be, but wicked and

Greedy sycophants that gathered

Around the corridors of power.

“They often lied to the governor,

Create wrong impressions and

Paint people who are capable,

Experienced and willing to

Support the government in

Developing and growing the state

Black just to gain favour”.

He added that, such politicians

are ready to frustrate the good

Intentions of government once

given appointments because it will not be their name but that of the governor in time of failure.

He Called on the incoming

Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon.

Sheriff Oborevwori to watch out

For such persons and ensure he is proactive to their manipulative patterns.

“You cannot continue recycling

Same people who have been

There, and their only concerns is

To enrich their pockets and how

To circumvent funds appropriated

For development.’

He urged the Oborevwori to

also look towards to appointing youths into

his cabinets as there

are young men and women who

have creative, productive and

developmental ideas that can

Transform the state and generate

Revenue.

“There is nothing wrong if the

Governor appoint a young boy of

26, 30 years as a Commissioner

In his cabinet. After all, we are

Aware that a 26 year old young

Graduate won election into the

House of assembly in one of the

States in the last elections. They

Will do beyond expectations in

Terms of creativity, agility and

Results seen. I urged him to look

Inward instead of rotating and

Recycling same persons that

Could be referred to as finished

Products.”

that most of the governors

Upon their elections have good

Intentions, but those close to

Them and around the corridors of

Power will truncate all their plans.

He appealed to Oborevwori to do

That will be imposed on him by

powers that be.
