Ashibogwu Calls on Host Communities to Intensify Security for School Facilities

Delta State Commissioner for Primary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu has called on host communities of Public Schools to intensify their efforts towards the security of school properties in their domain.

The Commissioner stated this in Agbor,on Tuesday,when he paid on the spot assessment visit to some public schools in preparation for the resumption of the new academic session.

According to the Commissioner, the security of the school properties would not only be beneficial to the pupils but it would also enable government to pay attention to other areas to that could better the educational sector.

He emphasised that the MORE Agenda of the present administration of Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori prioritised provision of basic education as he calls on collaboration.

“As State Government, His Excellency the Governor, has always prioritise education across all level in the state, especially at the basic level.

“Apart from provision of basic amenities, areas like provision of instructional materials and capacity buildings for teachers are also crucial.

“It is on this strength, that I am calling on all host communities where our schools are cited to intensify their efforts towards securing school properties in their domain”, the Commissioner stated.

The Commissioner and his team were conducted round schools in Ika-South by the Chief Inspector Education (CIE), Mr Idume Enahoro.

The team visited Erigbe Primary School, Orogodo Primary School and Charles Burr Primary School.
