Delta Humanitarian and Girl Child Affairs Ministry Partners With CSACEFA to Strengthen Support for Vulnerable Girls

The Delta State Ministry of Humanitarian and Girl Child Affairs has expressed its readiness to partner with the Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA) to enhance interventions targeted at underserved populations, particularly the girl child in the State.

The assurance was given by the Commissioner for Humanitarian and Girl Child Affairs , Ms Orode Uduaghan , when the State Coordinator of CSACEFA, Mrs. Juliana Nzemeka, led a delegation of the coalition on a courtesy visit to her office.

While acknowledging that the Ministry does not directly oversee education-related matters, the Commissioner noted that its strong focus on girl-child welfare provides a natural alignment with CSACEFA’s mandate.

She explained that the ministry routinely collaborates with other government Ministries and Agencies to implement girl-focused and humanitarian initiatives across the state.

 Orode assured the State Chapter of CSACEFA of the Ministry ‘s collaboration, adding that State Government is keen on supporting vulnerable families, empowering girls in the State.

Earlier, the State Coordinator of CSACEFA, Mrs. Nzemeka, stated that the synergy between education and humanitarian sectors is critical to achieving inclusive and equitable education for all.

Mrs Nzemeka appealed for strengthened collaboration with the ministry in areas such as policy development, programme design for girls’ empowerment, joint advocacy for vulnerable children, and participation in humanitarian planning processes for 2026.

CSACEFA, she said, remains committed to working with the Ministry to design, implement, and monitor Policies that could contribute to the safety, empowerment, and educational advancement of girls in Delta State.

Expressing appreciation for the warm reception granted the team , she commended the Commissioner for her leadership and commitment to humanitarian services in the State.
