Delta Gov’s Aide , Onyeaju Eulogises Mother’s Impact In His Life , Society

A youth leader in Okpanam in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State and a Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on Youth Development, Hon. Kelvin Onyeaju, has eulogized his late mother, Mrs. Genevieve Chizobam Onyeaju for her impact in his life and the society in general.
Onyeaju, who stated this in Okpanam during the burial ceremony of his mother, said that she instilled in him , the virtues of hard work, perseverance and tolerance in the face of challenges.
He described the deceased as an astute educationist and a disciplinarian, adding that as a professional teacher, she guided several individuals through the right path .
While affirming that her death was quite devastating and painful to him being the only child of his parents, Onyeaju attributed everything he had achieved in life to his mother.
He stated that her towering legacy would continue to resonate, stressing that the mother left him when he needed her most .
At the St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Okpanam where the funeral mass was held, Rev. Fr. Francis Okafor told the congregation that late Mrs. Genevieve Onyeaju had gone to unite with her maker .
He stated that she was a God fearing woman and committed Christian, whose contributions to the church was worthy of emulation, just as he admonised her son and the families she had left behind to take solace in the fact that she lived impactful life .
Also speaking, the deceased elder brother, Rev. Fr. Ihebinike Chibueze of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Umuaka in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo state, said that his sister was very supportive and committed to the uplifment of anybody that came across her .
The catholic priest said that Mrs. Genevieve Onyeaju was a replica of their father in all ramifications, urging the people of Okpanam community to take good care of her son .
In their separate remarks, the daughter in-law to the deceased, Mrs. Sarah Onyeaju and her father , Superior Envng. Ifeanyi Charles Obanya asserted that the deceased was a role model and asset to the womanhood.
Sarah Onyeaju explained that her mother in-law had been her companion and that her death created vacuum in their gaming, emphasizing that she would miss her motherly advice.
The Director-General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, Chief Patrick Ukah was among notable personalities that graced the occasion.
