It’s another season of love as the June Vision Foundation showered love on widows from Issele-Uku, Issele-Mkpitime and Onicha-Ugbo under the platform known as Widows For Christ.

The ceremony which took place at the Issele-Uku Royal Palace in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, on 24th December, 2025, has marked a consistent ninth edition since the initiative commenced.

His Royal Majesty, Agbogidi Obi Nduka JP (MNSE), the Obi of Issele-Uku Kingdom, who has consistently been present, commended Evangelist June Eunice Ify Odika, founder and CEO of the June Vision Foundation, for her forthrightness, resilience and unwavering commitment to the welfare of vulnerable widows these past nine years.

Obi Nduka who looks forward to a bigger and more elaborate 10th anniversary of the initiative, prayed for God’s abundant grace and strength for Evangelist June Eunice Ify Odika to continue to fulfill the call of God upon her life.

Insisting that the Foundation has helped to always wipe away tears from widows who cannot provide for themselves to celebrate Christmas in the past nine years, Agbogidi Nduka urged the women to continue to persevere in hope and faith on God who has become their father and husband.

He further appealed to other well meaning individuals to support and collaborate with the Foundation to expand the scope in order to ensure that vulnerable persons within the local government area also share in the joy of the season.

In her concise speech on the journey so far, Evangelist June Eunice Ify Odika revealed the next stage of the Foundation.

She said that the Foundation had already acquired land along Ogbeowele village in Issele-Uku, and it’s already building a medical centre and a multi-purpose hall to properly attend to the needs of widows and other vulnerable persons within Aniocha North and beyond.

The charitable Odika affirmed that she decided to host the 2025 edition of the empowerment against all odds, thereby thanking God for His sufficiency of grace and favour, including His consolation over the loss of her younger brother.

She equally appreciated Agbogidi Obi Nduka for his support since inception of the annual programme, and all others who have always partnered her to ensure consistent success in the past nine years.

Earlier in the programme, there was a devotion which was super intended by Pastor Sunday Ikelede, who also ministered the word of God to the widows and others present.

Following the sermon, Pastor Emmanuel Ebegbuzie conducted an intense prayer for the land of Issele-Uku, the king and all inhabitants of the community, asking God to raise men and women who will fast-track more development in Issele-Uku community.

The highpoint of the ceremony was the sharing of rice and wrappers to the widows. And their joy knew no bounds as they danced in appreciation for the gifts, while also praying for the Foundation to continue to grow from strength to strength.
