Mountain Club Fosters Unity , Promotes Socioeconomic Devt, Educational Support To Okpanam Community —-Okwuekwu

The President-General of Mountain Club of Okpanam in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Patrick Okwuekwu, has described the club as a foremost organization designed with the aim of promoting socio-economic , educational and cultural development of club members and Okpanam in general.

Okwuekwu who stated this in Okpanam during the end of year get together, said that the club had been fostering the spirit of unity and cooperation among members as well as develop and encourage developmental projects in Okpanam.

While saying that that mountain club had been existing over 40 years ago, Okwuekwu specifically stated that the club provides desirable support and human capital development to an indigent persons of Okpanam origin.

Earlier, a frontline member of the group and the Chairman of the end of year Planning Committee, Barrister Alistair Odashodiolu enjoined the newly inductees to brace up to the rules and regulations of the organization, just as he said that they decided to come together and have merriment as one family.

Odashodiolu described members of the group as people of uncommon integrity, accessible and reliable even as he commended members for their unwavering commitment to the growth the club and their support to organize successful end of year party.

In their separate remarks, the inductees including the President-General of Okpanam Community Development Union, Mr. Robert Ogonenwe, Comrade Udoka Asoya and Mr. Christopher Okechukwu Osadi said that they joined the group because of its humanitarian services.

Asoya noted that he has part and parcel of community development and that he would key into the policies and programmes of the organization to move the club forward .

On his part, Osadi stated that the club has been giving back to the society, recalling that the objective of the organization was all about humanity.

Speaking further, Ogonenwe said that mountain club is one of the oldest and most prominent clubs in Okpanam, stressing that as the President-General of Okpanam Community Development Union , it was important for him to join the group to do his job effectively as the club hosts most prominent individuals in the community.
