DTHA Passes Public Financial Management Bill

The State House of Assembly  has passed the Delta State Public Finance Management Bill.

Speaking today (27/11/2018) during plenary at Asaba, the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori said that the bill will strengthen the management of public finance in the state.

The passage of the bill followed the continuation of the consideration of the report of the Joint Committee on Public Account and Rules, Business,Legal and Judicial Matters on the Delta State Public Finance Management Bill at a Committee of the whole  .

Oborevwori said the House had earlier considered clause one to fifteen of the report and thanked members for their commitment to the passage of the bill.

The bill was passed following a motion moved by the Majority Leader, Hon. Tim Owhefere seconded by Hon. Anthony Elekeokwuri.
