Oborevwori Splashes Christmas Gifts On Constituents…Drums Support For Re- Election Of Governor Okowa

The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has called on Christians  to emulate the examplary life of Jesus  Christ  by showing love to one another just as he drummed support for the re-election of the State  Governor,  Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

Felicitating with Christians  at Christmas, the Speaker  harped on  the importance of the Season and implored  privileged Citizens to reach out to those in need in the spirit of the Yuletide.

While saying  that Jesus Christ made sacrifice for mankind, Rt Hon  Oborevwori in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr  Dennis Otu called on Christians   to take advantage of the season to shower  love on  one another.

He said “ This is  wishing all Christians   Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. Let us use the Yuletide Season  to show one another love. In all that we do now and always, let us be honest with one another and feel the pains of one another.

“Let us use this occasion to reflect deeply on the lifestyle and teachings of Jesus Christ. We should at this  Season  reflect on the lessons of the  birth of Christ.   Let truth and honesty reign in our hearts this Season and always.”

The  Speaker who splashed Christmas gifts on his constituents, leaders, party members and notable politicians in the State said that;

“ Even though,  things are tough and rough, we should reach out to one another in the best way that we can; we should  share joy and love of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of mankind”.

“We should also sustain the prevailing peace and security made possible by our dynamic Governor. Let us continue to support the Governor who has put adequate security measures in place for Deltans to have a crime-free Christmas. Very soon,  it will be time for the 2019 General  Elections,  our Governor has done so much since he came on board,  let us therefore do the needful by voting massively for him next year”, he said.
