Super 8: Insurance Confirms NPFL Place After Beating Shooting Stars of Ibadan

Bendel Insurance football of Benin have confirmed their superity over Shooting stars of Ibadan by beating them for the second time in the Nigeria National League (NNL) fixture to finally secure promotion ticket to the Nigeria Professional Football League,NPFL.

Skipper of the Benin based side scored the only goal ten minutes into the game after curling a fine volley from outside the box.

Insurance drew goalless against Shooting stars in Ibadan in their first meeting and defeated 2-1 later in Benin before the Aba neutral ground confirmation.

The Benin Arsenal took the bet9ja super 8 tournament, Aba 2019 by storm by defeating all their southern conference opponents to have nine maximum points against all odds.

Remo Stars later joined Insurance to the premier league after beating Delta Force 2-1 to seal the second place.

Gombe United and Kada City earlier settled for a goalless draw which was enough for both teams to get promotion ticket from the Northern Conference.

Meanwhile, Winners of both groups, Bendel Insurance and Kada city will have to slug it out on Thursday in a match that will determine the overall champions of NNL 2018 season.
