APC Knocks DSTG Over Shutting Schools for Political Rally
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led Government of Delta State Government have been criticized for closing schools in the State for its Presidential Campaign rally.
A Press Statement signed by the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) Publicity Secretary, in Delta, Ogheneluemu Sylvester Imonina Esq., accused the State Government of playing politics with Deltans and its future leaders.
The State Government yesterday, 31 January, 2019, closed Schools in Oshimili North and Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta for the PDP Presidential campaign rally, held at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
The statement said “The All Progressives Congress, Delta State, condems in totality the playing of politics with the future of the future Leaders of our dear State.
“… the PDP led government, now derives pleasure in closure of public schools, whenever they are to hold their dance of shame, known as political rallies in the affected school.
“…yesterday, the 31st day of January, 2019, pdp led government shamefully and brazenly directed and supervised the closure of both public and private schools in Asaba and its environs, because of pdp presidential rally that was held in Asaba.
The Statement added that “Deltans, and indeed the poor whose children are mostly in public schools deserve better treatment from Delta State government”.
