Polls: Mainstream Delta APC launch 4,000 Canversers for Buhari

In a bid to ensure successful reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 general elections, the Mainstream Delta APC in collaboration with Presidential Support Committee (PSC), Good Governance Ambassadors of Nigeria (GOGAN) and Presidential Youth Organization (PYO), has launched 4,000 door to door canvassers.

Speaking during the ceremony, held today, 8 February, 2019, at Asaba, the leader of the Mainstream Delta APC, Olorogun Otega Emerho said that he was driven by passion to increase the number of voters in the State, for victory of President Buhari.

While attributing the low votes from Delta, at the 2015 general elections, to alleged fraudulent activities of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he promised to provide all campaign  materials to enable the party perform better.

Continuing, Emerho tasked the canvassers on mobilizing more than 400, 000 voters across the State,  for Buhari.

In his remarks, the Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to the President, Hon. Gideon Samani, assured the organizers of the event that their efforts will not be in vain.

The Chairman of the  Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dakuku Peter side, who was also present at the occasion,affirmed that the action of the group has proven their genuine support for the party.

A former gubernatorial aspirant of the party, Dr Cairo Ojuigboh, however advised the campaigners to be committed to the task set before them.

Highpoint of the event was the commissioning of President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osibanjo branded vehicles to the canvassers.
