Police move to curb violent crime in Delta

In assurance of his commitment to the safety of Deltans at all times, the Delta State Police command headed by CP Adeyinka Adeleke has placed adequate security measures to curb violent crime in the State.
Delta Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Onome Onowakpoyeya, in a statement, at Asaba, said that various efforts have been intensified restrain criminal activities and ensure peaceful coexistence among residents of the State.
The statement tittled, “Delta State Police Command has put adequate measure in Place to curb violent cre in the State” reads,“The Delta State Police Command has assured Deltans of by in keeping fate with its resolve to rid the state of violent crimes has emplace adequate security measures to curb the menaces in the State.
“The Command has strengthened their conventional crime prevention and control method of stop and search duty, raiding of black spots/flash points, aggressive visibility patrol to curtail all forms of criminalities.
“ Recently, the Commissioner of Police has held meetings with various stakeholders, viz Vigilante group of Nigeria (VGN), Delta State Vigilante group, DTSVG, hunters, herdsmen, Hausa/Fulani representatives and indigenes/farmers, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) all bothering on the peace and security of the State.
“ Issues bothering on farmer/herders crisis, cultism, robbery, kidnapping were deliberated upon. Meaningful contributions and possible solutions were postulated, which is already yielding positive results.
“ Delta State Command assures the good people of Delta State of its commitment to their safety and security at all times”.
