Dame Okowa mark 58th birthday with inmates

As part of the activities earmarked to commemorate her 58th years birthday, the wife of the governor of Delta State and founder of the O5 Initiative, Dame Edith Okowa, today (31/5/19) visited inmates of the Ogwashi- Uku prison in the State.

The wife of the State governor who was in company of her Organization’s team stated that the visit is part of civic engagement plan to mark her birthday.

Dame Okowa explained that her interaction and prayers with the inmates was  aimed at discouraging them against crime in the future.

Her words, “These critical outreach activities  are intended to encourage the inmates to look beyond a life of crime in their future endeavour, adding that “It is my ardent hope and prayer that all our young

people continue to live constructive lives and steer clear of crime and other social vices”.
