Water consumers enumeration exercise flags off in Delta

An enumeration exercise aimed at identifying water consumers in urban towns has kick-started in Delta State
The State commissioner for Water Resources Development, Mr Martins Okonta, was represented by the General Manager of Delta State Urban Water Corporation, Engr. Okoh Nosakhoro at the flagging off ceremony, at Ogwashi-Uku, recently
United States Agency for International Development (USAID) sponsored firm, Full Plan Associates Nigeria Limited is implementing the task in the State.
The exercise which began on November 11 will end December 13 2019 .
The activity is focusing on identification of consumers as well as “block mapping” of areas to be covered for water supply by the Delta State Urban Water Corporation.
The Effective Water , Sanitation and Hygiene (E-WASH) in the State, also sponsored by USAID , is also involved in the process.
Areas earmarked for the program includes; Asaba, Ogwashi-uku, Ozoro, Orerokpe, Oghara,Bomadi,Kwale,Agbor,Sapele and Ughelli.
