New CP assumes office in Delta
CP Mohammed Ari Ali is now the Delta State Commissioner of Police after the former CP Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa, mni was elevated to the position an Assistant Inspector General and subsequently redeployed.
A statement signed by the State Police Public Relations OfficerDSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, at Asaba, said “ A new Commissioner of Police has assumed duty in Delta State Police Command. He is CP Mohammed Ari Ali. CP Mohammed Ari Ali is taking over from AIG Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa, mni who was recently elevated to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police and redeployed to Zone 13.
“He enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on 3rd March, 1990 and attended the elite Police Academy Kaduna.
“CP Mohammed Ari Ali hails from Doma LGA of Nasarawa State. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Library/Political Science from the University of Maiduguri, a Master of Science in Industrial Relations from the Delta State University, Abraka and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Industrial Relations from Irish University Business School, Penbroke Square, UK.
“He is a thorough bred professional Police Officer who brings intellectualism to bear on his operational activities and believes that fighting crime is a collective effort.
“He was promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police on 18th December 2020.
“He pledged to leverage on the existing security mechanism already in place towards enthroning the reign of peace and safety in Delta State. He advised the public to always co-operate with the Police and other security agencies at all times.”
