Delta ICT: Yep participants to receive starter packs soon – Adasen
Delta State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Jennifer Oma Adasen, Esq
Participants under the recently concluded Delta lCT – Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP), will soon receive their starter packs once the modalities are worked out for disbursement.
They have therefore been urged to remain calm and patient while the details are being worked out.
Giving this assurance in Asaba, the State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Jennifer Oma Adasen, Esq, stated that as one of the legacy programs of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the lCT Youth Empowerment Programme is designed to boost the entrepreneurial fortunes of youths in the State as they will continue to enjoy government’s attention and funding under the present administration.
Noting that as a program designed to equip youths in the state with cutting edge ICT skills and competencies, there is no iota of truth whatsoever that participants at the program which was flagged off in February this year would be left without starter packs after completing the training about two months ago.
The Science and Technology Commissioner revealed that as in all government activities, due process must be followed in line with fiscal integrity that procurement of starter packs is involved in.
She added that in no distant time the issue of starter packs for this category of trainees, under the lCT__YEP program, will be a thing of the past.

Please you just need to look for a way to explain to the youths why the delay of the starter packs. Nobody is communicating to them to know what’s causing the delay.
