The SSA who was flanked by the Executive Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Mr Felix Offou and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Policy and Strategy , Mr Pius Mordi disclosed that she also visited the prisons while in the foreign countries , to check on some Deltans that were imprisoned for various offences.

Identifying Human Trafficking, Stigmatization and name calling as some of the challenges faced by Nigerians living abroad, she blamed the Social Media for being used as tool to promote wrong notions about Nigeria.

Equally, the SSA stated that she met with top Government officials of countries visited in order to discourage their negative views about Nigerians and woo them to Delta State for investment.

She said that she received two awards on behalf of Governor Oborevwori, in recognition and acceptance of the State Governments’ move to relate with Malaysia.

The SSA maintained that she had been able to change the negative perception of intending investors, including Deltans and convinced them on the need to invest in oil rich Delta State.

Stating her plans to extend her foreign relations to USA, UK, Spain, Italy, France and other countries, she advised media to focus on the positive aspect of Nigeria rather than the negative.

Expressing her gratitude to the Governor for finding her worthy to be part of his administration, she promised to use her office for the betterment of Deltans.

“It is very challenging for Nigerians living in diaspora, Nigeria is a very massive country we have 36 States and we should be focused. We are focusing on Delta and we are focused on our people living in the diaspora.

“Our Governor is doing great and has been doing everything to encourage our people living in foreign countries and I am doing everything possible to encourage investors to Delta State and the major reason why I’m going around the world is because I want to attract investors back home. I have made them to know that their investments in Delta State are very safe”, she said.
