‘Hon. Chuka Ezenwune: The Man For The Salvage Mission’

Our people have a saying that: ‘Ikwu amaghi ibe ezi ya’ (if acquaintance lacks knowledge of something, a relation will assist or teach him or her). They also say that: ‘Okenye adighi ano n’ulo ewu amuo n’ogbuli’ (An elder cannot be in the house and leave a goat delivers her baby tied to the tether). It is also said that ‘Na nwanne ozu n’awu ozu ahu’ (Only very close relatives of a dead person can wash his or her corpse in death). Hon. Chuka Ezenwune did not offer himself to represent Idemili North and South Federal Constituency at this time just for personal reasons. He was duly consulted by the leaders of thought of the Constituency to go and salvage a bad situation of status quo. His move to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) was not also for political convenience; he moved for political effectiveness. He recognized that you cannot fix a broken house while tied to the very people who broke it. His theme of ‘Service to the People’ which is also the tagline of the new platform of NDC is a direct challenge to the greed of the status quo. Hon. Chuka Ezenwunne is on a mission to salvage Idemili North and South Federal Constituency from indolence, glitch and dormancy. Our people say: ‘Akwu chaa n’odu igu, achoba nnunu mpimpi onu’ (When bunch of palm nut forms and matures at the deepest part of palm frond, we seek the help of a bird with long beaks) Such is the case here. 

Hon. Chuka Ezenwune (Ifeabata Idemili) is the better choice to salvage our constituency for the following reasons:

He possesses a proven record of rectitude and empirical evidences filled testimonial as former Legislator for Idemili South House of Assembly. Chuka has a reputation built on integrity and initiative. He is a man who understands that a public mandate is a sacred trust, not a personal bank account.

Hon. Chuka Ezenwune posses a voice that commands respect and trained experience. As a veteran in public engagement, Hon. Chuka possesses the drive and analytical skills necessary to stand on the floor of the National Assembly and demand what is rightfully ours. The National Democratic Party (NDC) represents a clean break from the failed politics of the past. By aligning with the NDC, Hon. Chuka Ezenwune has chosen a platform that prioritizes Service over Self. Hon. Chuka Ezenwune understands that political parties are like vehicles. If the old vehicle has a knocked engine and can no longer move the people by themselves give it a push forward. Such time has come, the Idemili North and South people say it is time to switch to the NDC a new vehicle powered by the will of the people with a new driver in the person of Hon. Chuka Ezenwune (Ifeabata Idemili).

The Idemili North and South Federal Constituency electorates say it’s time to take back Idemili. The election is not just a contest between candidates; it is a choice between stagnation and salvage.
