Delta Boosts Leadership of Inclusion with First Female Community PG
By Patrick Ochei
Issele-Mkpitime, an agrarian community in Ezechime Clan of Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State, can proudly boast of producing the first female community President General in the history of Delta State, thereby boosting the much touted leadership of inclusion with women occupying positions of strategic importance.
The current President General of Issele-Mkpitime community is Barr. Gloria Nkadi Odibei, a practicing legal practitioner of over 25 years and an astute politician presently vying to represent the Aniocha-Oshimili Federal Constituency as a lawmaker.
In fact, Barr. Gloria Nkadi Odibei is the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 House of Representatives election for Aniocha-Oshimili Federal Constituency seat.
She is a woman of substance, capacity and resilience. It takes so much courage for a woman of her type to vye for the position of PG in her community and won – in a male dominated and domineered community.
No wonder she has equally buckled up to square it out in a secular election against the already structured politicians for the House of Reps seat.
When our Correspondent encountered her, she exhibited confidence and courage to square it out with anybody in the field, no matter the personality that is involved.
“I will make sure that people who never meant well for us in the past are stopped in this election. Citizens are now wiser – they can’t be deceived anymore like in the past. They are going to vote credibility and defend their votes vehemently in this election.
“I am the answer for all the past anomalies of the old bloc politicians. I am here to change the narrative, reproduce the positive kind of leadership our people had long yearned for. My track record abhors corruption and deceit; that is why I am going to ensure that we lead by transparency and accountability.
“The welfare of my people is my priority in this political pursuit. We must ensure that the system recognizes our needs in terms of the dividends of democracy; then we can focus on making people-oriented laws to enhance justice in the system in order to fast-track growth and development for our Nation”, Odibei posited.
