The Delta State Government has reiterated that its forthcoming Delta State Economic and Investment Summit 2026 is aimed at attracting credible investors whose businesses will drive the state’s long-term economic growth, stressing that the event is not a fundraising platform.

Speaking during a press briefing at the State Secretariat, the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, said Delta is entering a new phase of economic expansion following years of strategic investments by the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

Aniagwu said significant improvements in road infrastructure, healthcare delivery, education, security and human capital development have strengthened the state’s business environment, making Delta increasingly attractive to investors seeking viable opportunities.

According to him, the government’s objective is to attract investments that will establish industries, expand business activities and create sustainable employment for residents, thereby strengthening the state’s economy.

He maintained that the initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to building partnerships with reputable investors willing to make long-term commitments in Delta State. He added that the expected investments will support economic diversification and improve the overall standard of living of the people
