Expectations are high as the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State prepares to officially flag off its campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections on Thursday in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area.

The flag-off, scheduled to take place at Oleh Township Stadium, is expected to attract APC leaders, party faithful and supporters from across the state’s 25 local government areas.

The Chairman of the Delta State APC Media Campaign Committee, Hon. Charles Aniagwu, disclosed this on Wednesday during a press briefing, at Asaba, where he unveiled the committee’s campaign roadmap.

Aniagwu, who was accompanied by the committee’s Vice Chairman, Esq. Valentine Onyegbadu, and Secretary, Dr. Tonye Timi, said the flag-off would mark a major step in the party’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the elections.

He explained that the exercise was designed to energise party members, strengthen grassroots engagement and encourage wider participation in the campaign across the state.

The committee chairman expressed optimism that APC supporters from the 25 local government areas would converge on Oleh Township Stadium for the event.

On the party’s campaign approach, Aniagwu reaffirmed its commitment to an issue-based campaign, noting that the direction had received the endorsement of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

He added that the inauguration of the campaign council would further demonstrate the party’s commitment to a peaceful and decent electoral process.

According to him, the campaign would focus on issues affecting the people, particularly community development, empowerment and the creation of opportunities for Deltans.

Aniagwu stressed that the party would sustain constructive engagement with the electorate, with emphasis on communicating its programmes and addressing issues of public concern.
