Ashibogwu Inspects Newly Completed NECO Office in Asaba

Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, paid an on-the-spot assessment visit to the newly completed National Examinations Council (NECO) office in Asaba.
The visit underscores the Delta State Government’s commitment to strengthening examination administration and enhancing the quality of the education sector.
The inspection formed part of the Commissioner’s routine supervisory engagements aimed at ensuring that key educational infrastructure across the state meets operational standards.
Dr. Ashibogwu commended the successful completion of the office complex, describing it as a major milestone for examination management in Delta State.
He noted that the facility would significantly improve the coordination and administration of national examinations across the state.
According to the Commissioner, a befitting NECO office will enhance operational efficiency and provide a conducive working environment for staff.
He reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to supporting institutions responsible for maintaining the integrity and credibility of public examinations.
Earlier, the Delta State NECO Coordinator, Mr. Harry Uhunamure, thanked the State Government for donating the land and providing enabling environment for the erection of the building.
Mr. Uhunamure described the development as a major boost to NECO operations and appealed for assistance in flooring the premises and providing office furniture.
Responding, Dr. Ashibogwu assured that the request would be conveyed to the appropriate authorities, reiterating government’s resolve to sustain investments that strengthen the education sector.
