Oshimili South 2027: Nwabuaze Declares Ambition, Pledges Accountability, Job Creation
Hon. Kelvin Chukwudum Nwabuaze, has declared his intention to contest the Oshimili South seat in the Delta State House of Assembly, pledging to prioritise accountability and job creation if elected.
Speaking Journalists at NOL24 Media Cathedral ,Asaba, Nwabuaze said his ambition is rooted in a commitment to responsible leadership that delivers tangible results for the people, particularly in the area of employment generation.
Nwabuaze, who the Councillor representing Oko-Anala Constituency in Oshimili South Local Government Area of stressed that his focus would be on opening up economic opportunities through the revival of dormant industries, attraction of private investors, and exploration of emerging sectors capable of creating sustainable jobs for youths in Oshimili South.
“We must go beyond rhetoric and begin to revive our local industries and engage investors. There is enormous untapped potential that can create jobs for our people,” he said.
The councillor also underscored the importance of accountability in governance, promising to maintain transparency and regular communication with constituents through periodic briefings and open engagement.
“If after two years there are no visible results, the people should tell me to leave. Leadership must be accountable,” he stated.
Highlighting his experience, Nwabuaze pointed to his legislative contributions at the local government level, including sponsoring bills on sanitation and environmental management, as proof of his readiness for higher responsibility.
He further assured that he would provide honest representation by speaking truthfully to those in authority and ensuring that the real concerns of the people are conveyed to government without distortion.
According to him, effective governance depends not only on leadership at the top but also on the willingness of representatives to present accurate feedback from the grassroots.
On equity, Nwabuaze argued that the Oko axis deserves an opportunity to represent Oshimili South at the State Assembly, noting that power rotation would promote fairness and inclusiveness in the political structure.
Reaffirming his commitment to quality governance, he cited his intervention in stopping a substandard health centre project in his constituency as an example of his resolve to protect public interest.
