Okowa says appointment will be based on merit… swears in SSG

Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has stated that appointments into his second term administration, tagged “ Stronger Delta” will be on the basis of merit.
Speaking during the swearing in ceremony of the new Secretary to State Government, Chiedu Ebie esq., at Asaba, today( 3/5/29), the State Governor emphasized that his current political dispensation engagements will not be hinged on “ emotions, sentiments or the sole purpose of political patronage”.
Governor Okowa however explained that the administration needs persons with experience in governance to execute his plans for the State , just as he appealed to Deltans for trust “ to do the right thing and to do it right”.
Not withstanding, he promised to “ run an all inclusive government in terms of appointments and project distribution”.
While eulogizing the performance of Ebie’s performance during his first tenure as the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Okowa expressed confidence on his ability to perform effectively as Secretary to State Government of Delta State.
On his part, Ebie pledged his dedication to work with the State governor to actualize his vision for a Stronger Delta.
