ICC fixes date for elections

The Indigenous Correspondents Chapel (ICC) of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Delta State chapter, has fixed March 10,2020, for elections into various positions of the Union.

A statement signed by the Chairmam, Comrade Barth Ozah and Secretary, Comrade Kenneth Orusi, said that a letter has been sent to the State council of NUJ to notify them of their upcoming activities.

According to the press release, a credentials and electoral committee led by the immediate past Chairman of the ICC, Comrade Spence Idigri was also set up.

Other members of the committee includes Miracle Enuji as Secretary and Comrade Mrs Josephine Omodior as member.

The statement titled “ setting up of credentials and electoral committee” said, ‘’To uphold the Constitution of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Indigenous Correspondents’ Chapel (ICC), of NUJ Delta State Council wishes to announce the inauguration of a 3-man electoral Committee to midwife the March 10th 2020, election of the chapel.

“The ICC with all sense of responsibility states that the Committee headed by the immediate past Chairman, Comrade Spence Friday Idihgri, as its chairman would be guided by the NUJ Constitution.

“Other members of the Committee includes Comrade Miracle Enuji, who will serve in the Committee as secretary and Mrs. Josephine Iroro, member.

“A former letter notifying the state council has been sent and we’ll acknowledged by the State Council’s Secretariat”.
