The Political Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Omimu Esquire, has congratulated the Governor and the entire Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family Nationwide on the victory of Governor Godwin Obaseki , who was declared re elected by the independent Electoral Commission (lNEC).

Omimi Esquire said the untiring efforts of the Governor of Delta State, who is the Chairman, South South Governor’s forum, Rivers State Governor and Chairman of the PDP Campaign council for the election, Nyesom Nwike and other PDP Governor’s, ensured victory for Governor Obaseki.

Describing the victory of the Edo State Governor as “a reclamation of PDP’s territory stolen 12 years ago”, the Political Adviser noted that for the first time in a long while, the South South geo political region can now speak in one voice.

Noting the age long relationship between Edo and Delta State which was carved from the defunct Bendel State of the then mid Western region, Omimi said there was a lot of collaboration between both States that would be of mutual benefit now that Obaseki has been re elected under the PDP umbrella.

He commended the people of Edo State for their steadfastness in making their votes count, assuring them that their decision on Governor Obaseki is a choice against godfatherism and a vote for accelerated development of their State.

The Delta State Political Adviser used the opportunity to congratulate Governor Obaseki and said the victory is a victory for not only the people of Edo who believe in right standards, but also for the entire South South region of the country.
