NUC Accredits 12 Courses of Admiralty University …to commence Programs in Law, Engineering, Maritime Studies

All the twelve (12)Courses of the Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) has been accredited by the National University Commission (NUC).

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Paul Omojo Omaji made the disclosure during a press conference held today, in Delta State.

Prof Omaji explained that the University ‘s maiden accreditation exercise was done to ensure that the quality of academic programs of the School is of requisite standard .

 

He observed that a panel from NUC visited ADUN for assessment and revalidation of the School’ library, qualification of teaching and non-teaching staff, quality of faculty offices, lecture rooms, laboratories, studios and other facilities in 2021.

According to him, on 14th April 2022, the NUC accorded full accreditation status to Eleven (11) programs of the School while one (1) received interim accreditation status.

He added that the Commission also gave them the approval to commence Law Program with effect from 2021/2022 academic session.

He noted that the University intends to add the faculty of Engineering and Technology as well as Maritime Studies to the existing ones.

Accredited courses at ADUN includes; Cyber Security, Forensic Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biology and English Language.

Others are Accounting, Business Administration, International Relations and Tourism Studies.
