Delta Government Assures Athletes of Hitch Free Event in Ongoing National Sports Festival

The Delta State Government has as assured all athletes in 2022 National Sports Festival in the state a hitch free event as it progresses.
The information Commissioner Mr Charles Aniagwu disclosed this in a press conference saying minor hiccups pointed out at the beginning of the event are been addressed gradually.
According to him, “Information you give us may also help us because of the magnitude of the event”.
“If you move round and see any challenges the only thing you need to do is to bring it to our notice immediately we get it fixed because they are always there no matter what you do in other for us to have a worthy event”.
Speaking further Aniagwu said the medal hall have started, at the moment a number of medals have been won in different fields and no fewer than twenty four to twenty five games have been concluded in various games and categories.
He however stated that so far Delta remains the king in the medal table “Some are now praying to be second because it seems difficult for praying for first position when you have Deltans participating”. “So their prayer points is now how they can come second”.
“We wish them the best , but we still want them to compete further so that it will further stimulate our energy because you do know that Delta is the home of Sports, not only that but also sport is the indigen of Delta State.”So we understand why we win and win massively”.
The Information commissioner used the medium to appreciate the corporation from the media, officials who have come to officiate at different levels, the athletes themselves and the spectators noting that everyone who have come to Delta have shown us a lot of respect even as our people have continue to reciprocate that gesture.
“Everybody have lived like brothers and sisters,and I do hope this love unity that has characterised this particular fiesta will continue to permeate the atmosphere even beyond this game”.He said.
” In this hall is a mini Nigeria,we have different ethnic groups, religion and everything that makes Nigeria divers”. “We do hope by the grace of God, the energy that are been but into this event from the part of the athletes and officials as well as the media making it possible for Nigeria to know what is happening in Delta would be sustained in such a manner that at the end of the day we would be able to conclude this event on the 10th of this month with the same spirit of love and unity”.
