PDP Apologizes to Nigerians on ‘shameful’ outing of Tinubu at Chattam house

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council Spokesperson, Mr Charles Aniagwu has apologized to Nigerians and the International community for the poor conduct of the Presidential Candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) , Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Chattam house, London.
Briefing News today, at Asaba, Aniagwu said the APC Presidential candidate became a question distributor at Chattam house rather than answer the questions.
“This is somebody that is seen as one of the front runners, we don’t want the international community to think that this is who we are”.
“Our country is made up of men and women of integrity and knowledge at different fora in the international community, as a party and as a presidential organization, I want to on behalf of my principal Atiku Abubakar to apologise to the international community that this kind of disgrace is not who we are in Nigeria”.He said.
Speaking further, Aniagwu said as for us in PDP as a political party, beyond the fact that we have continued to engage different stake holders and Nigerians across all works of life, our presidential candidate and his running mate are still much ever ready to interface with Nigerians where ever they are Interms of their geographical location,the religion they profess, the ethnic group they belong,or the class they might find themselves adding that as a party, we will continue to interface with them because we believe that indeed in line with the name of our party, People Democratic Party, power belongs to the people and they represent the sovereign and as such we will not take the rights of Nigerians for granted to continue to scrutinize our candidate.
The presidential Spokesperson however explained that the Atiku/Okowa presidential bid has come up with a Policy document with manifesto titled “My Convenant With Nigerians” which embodies policy priorities, that the Atiku Okowa Government will deploy for the purpose of adding value to the lives of Nigerians, noting that the manifesto will seek more ways as to additional inputs from Nigerians not for the purpose of producing another policy document but for the purpose of enriching the discuss and at the end of the day “enriching our desire to have a country that works for all of us”.
“We are clear with what we are going to do with respect to the economy and development in other parts of the world, all these are factors clearly outlined in our manifesto If anybody is not clear with what Atiku/Okowa stands for, we will not hesitate to put it out”.He said.
