Warri South Council Boss Harps on Infrastructure, Human Capital development
Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro has stated that his administration will focus on infrastructure and human capital development in order for the people to reap dividends of democracy.
Comrade Agbateyiniro made the statement when he featured as a guest of the Nigeria Union Journalists, Delta State Council on its first rotational congress held yesterday, at Government Annex, Warri .
He disclosed that three major committees have been set up to halt investors from relocating from the area as well as market the Warri brand to the outside world.
The Council Chairman also said that he has replicated the Delta Cares programme as Sherriff Cares in the Local Government Council to cater for physically challenged persons, the aged and the youths.
Stating his intention to embark on a 10 millions revolving loan scheme among traders to support their business, Agbateyiniro said that he is confident on taking the council to an enviable height in years to come.
He noted that his administration ‘s GRACE agenda for the Council which entails Growth and development, Radical rural transformation, Agricultural revolution, Commerce and Industrialization as well as enhancement of peace and Security is in tandem with the Governor Oborevwori MORE agenda.
Expressing his eagerness to tackle any challenge that might affect the growth and development of the council, he said he is also willing to support any initiative that is capable of improving the welfare of the people.
Congratulating the NUJ on its first Congress held outside Asaba, the council chairman assured of his support in assisting Journalists in performing their constitutional roles in the State.
